Hearing aid price in Pakistan — small hearing aid held between two fingers

Updated September 2026. Prices re-checked against current CLINIC quotes in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Hearing aid price in Pakistan ranges from about PKR 15,000 for a basic digital machine to PKR 350,000+ per ear for the latest AI-driven flagship devices. Most buyers land between PKR 60,000 and PKR 150,000 per ear for a mid-range digital device from Phonak, Signia, Rexton or Widex, usually fitted as a pair.

Hearing aid pricing in Pakistan is unusually opaque. Two clinics can quote figures that differ by a factor of four for devices built on the same platform, and neither quote necessarily includes the fitting, the follow-up, or the second ear.

This guide gives you the bands, explains what moves a price, and lists the costs that get left out of the first quote.

The price bands in 2026

Prices track the rupee and the technology tier. These are the ranges you should expect to see in the market this year:

TierTypical range (PKR)PerWhat that buys
Basic digital15,000 – 45,000EarAmplification with basic noise reduction, manual volume, replaceable battery
Entry-mid45,000 – 90,000EarMultiple programs, directional microphones, better speech handling
Mid-range90,000 – 200,000EarRechargeable, Bluetooth audio streaming, adaptive noise reduction
Premium200,000 – 350,000EarHands-free calls, AI-driven noise handling, remote adjustments via phone
Top of range350,000+EarLatest platform, best performance in noise, durable housing

Two points that surprise people:

Prices are usually quoted per ear, not per pair. A "PKR 150,000 hearing aid" is often one device. A bilateral fitting doubles it.

The second ear is worth the money. Two devices restore directionality and improve speech understanding in noise far more than upgrading one premium device would. If budget is tight, fit two mid-range aids rather than one premium aid.

What actually drives the price

1. The processing platform

The chipset and its noise-handling algorithms are the biggest cost. A five-year-old platform in a new shell can cost a third of the current flagship. That is not automatically a bad purchase: if your main need is quiet conversation at home, an older platform does the job.

2. The form factor

Custom in-canal models need an ear impression, a shell to be manufactured, and often a remake. Expect a premium of 10–25% over an equivalent RIC, plus longer delivery time.

3. Power and rechargeability

Lithium cells, charging cases, and sealed housings add cost. See rechargeable vs battery for whether that premium pays off in your situation.

4. Connectivity

Bluetooth audio is now standard in the mid tier. Hands-free calling — where the aid microphones carry your voice — sits at the premium tier. Details in our Bluetooth hearing aids guide.

5. Channel, not quality

This is the largest single variable. A clinic with rent, staff, and audiology overheads builds those costs into the device. Direct sellers cut some of that layer. Neither model is automatically better: what matters is whether genuine warranty, correct fitting, and after-sales service survive the discount.

The costs that do not appear in the first quote

Ask about each of these before you pay:

  • The audiogram. Sometimes free with purchase, sometimes PKR 2,000–5,000 separately.
  • Ear impressions for custom models. Often charged separately.
  • Fitting and programming sessions. Should be included, sometimes is not.
  • Follow-up adjustments. Ask how many are included and for how long.
  • Wax guards, domes, tubing, desiccant refills. Consumables that add up over a year — see hearing aid maintenance.
  • Repairs after warranty. Ask for the out-of-warranty receiver replacement price. It is the most common repair.
  • Battery cell replacement for rechargeable models, roughly year three or four.

A cheap device with expensive consumables and no service channel is more expensive over five years than a mid-range device with a local service partner.

How to compare two quotes properly

Write the answers down and compare like for like:

  1. Exact model name and number, and the platform generation.
  2. Number of devices: one or two.
  3. Audiogram included? Fitting included? How many follow-ups?
  4. Warranty length, what it covers, and where service happens.
  5. Consumable costs for the first year.
  6. Trial period, and what happens if you return the device.
  7. Who answers when something breaks in month ten — with a phone number.

If a seller will not put items 3 to 7 in writing, treat the price as unknown.

What to do first

Get an audiogram before you get a quote. Without one, you cannot tell whether the device being recommended fits your loss, and you cannot compare two sellers on anything except price. Our guide to what a hearing test involves explains what to ask for.

If you already have your audiogram, send it to our team on WhatsApp and we will put specific models and current prices against it. No audiogram yet? Start with the complete buying guide so you know what to ask at the appointment.

Frequently asked questions

What is the hearing aid price in Pakistan in 2026? PKR 15,000 for basic digital machines up to PKR 550,000+ per ear for ultra-premium AI platforms. The mid-range that fits most hearing losses costs PKR 60,000–150,000 per ear, and prices are usually quoted per ear, not per pair.

Why does the same hearing aid have different prices at different clinics? Fitting quality, included follow-ups, warranty terms and overheads differ. Always compare model number, number of devices, included services and warranty length — not just the number.

Is a hearing machine price in Pakistan below PKR 20,000 worth it? Below PKR 20,000 you are generally buying an amplifier, not a programmable hearing aid. Amplifiers make everything louder including noise, cannot be tuned to your audiogram, and have no meaningful warranty.

Do prices differ between Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad? Slightly. Lahore is the most competitive, so mid-range prices there run about 5–10% below smaller cities. The device itself is imported and priced broadly the same; service inclusion is what moves the number.

How often do hearing aid prices change in Pakistan? With the rupee and with brand platform launches — roughly twice a year. Buy shortly after you have decided; a device bought late in a platform's life loses resale value faster.
